SATURDAY GAMES For many years now, we have entertained the idea of Saturday games with the Ball to follow. For a long time this has not come to fruition, party due to tradition and partly due to sheer apathy. However, the Sunday evening after the game has become somewhat of an nonevent, with both Alumni and Students having to disappear into the night. We trialed this idea in 2002 with some success, but in 2003 conflict with NAMS fixtures meant that the game was replayed on a Sunday. It, however is preferable that both game are on the Saturday at Moderns RFC, with an early kick-off. This is both to appease Moderns and to allow plenty or getting ready time for the Ball (for the three-quarters obviously!) We therefore propose that in 2004 both games are to be played on the Saturday, with the Ball to follow on the Saturday night. Thus, the game can be discussed at length.
